Lottery officials said approvals will likely continue well into 2022. Facility operators will be required to pay $50,000 for each background investigation. A license will be good for 10 years and costs $15 million.
The operators must undergo a comprehensive financial evaluation and extensive criminal background checks before the state will issue a gaming operator’s license.
